One of the things that we take pride on is taking exceptional care of pets here at Hawthorne, and that doesn’t stop at 5:00 PM.

We have an ICU here at Hawthorne that allows for us to take care of your beloved pet 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We have a doctor on staff throughout the night, along with a nursing staff to take care of your pets when they need to be hospitalized.

Our ICU is composed of cages for dogs and a separate area for cats, so that they can rest and heal comfortably and peacefully. Our ICU is equipped with continuous monitoring of their vitals throughout the night. They have IV catheters with continuous IV fluids and medication.

Your pets are also taken care of throughout the evening as far as their bathroom needs are concerned. We make sure that no animal is left sitting in any feces or urine, and they’re able to go out multiple times throughout the evening as well.

We have an ICU in addition to having a surgery suite and a dental suite. Your pet will get the care that it needs in a timely manner and does not have to wait until the morning or be transferred to another facility. If you feel that your pet needs to be hospitalized or needs any care no matter what time of day, please feel free to call us.

If you’re not a patient of Hawthorne Animal Hospital, that’s okay. We will take any animal, any client, but we will keep the communication open with your regular doctor to let them know what needs have been taken care of and what follow up care is needed.
