How can I tell if my pet has worms?

Some parasites, when in adult stage, are visible to the naked eye. Other stages of the parasite, such as the egg stage, must be detected under a microscope. If there is concern your pet may have a parasite, you may bring in a stool sample to be tested. The sample is sent to a lab, and results are usually returned within 48 hours. If a positive result is returned, and there is a doctor-patient relationship, the proper medication will be dispensed.
