We love our community, especially the furry neighbors! That’s why we started the Hawthorne Animal Hospital Angel Fund. Every financial donation made by our supporters to our 501(c)3 is matched dollar-for-dollar by our vet clinic, helping us improve the quality of life for animals across the Metro East.
Through the Angel Fund, our Glen Carbon pet clinic has the privilege of working with several police departments in Madison, Montgomery, and Macoupin Counties by providing cradle-to-grave veterinary care to their K-9 officers. Each of these heroes receives free vaccinations, emergency care, monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and prescription food.

In addition to caring for the K9 officers, the Angel Fund also helps in the recovery of injured wildlife that are brought to our emergency vet clinic by Treehouse Wildlife Center, a non-profit rescue and rehab center in Dow, IL. So far, Dr. Myer has performed life-saving treatments for a number of wildlife creatures, including eagles, owls, coyotes, and fawns.
